Netley Campus fosters lifelong learning. high aspirations and well-being for all.

Our unique collaboration provides opportunities integrate support

for children and communities within and beyond the campus.

Netley Primary School

Netley Primary School is an inclusive school, exuding a warmth and generosity of spirit that comes from our happy children and diverse school community. The school is set within Netley Campus, a state of-the-art learning environment for children and adults. We have 450 children, including Woodlands, an outstanding centre for children with Autism. In 2014 OFSTED judged both Netley and Woodlands as ‘Good’ in all categories. We are excited to enhance our offer with a new centre for two year olds and the recent completion of our STEM Lab.

Acorns

Our two year old provision, known as Acorns, has been offered at Netley since October 2017. We have daily three hour places available for up to 24 children, who attend for either five mornings or five afternoons each week. The children play freely between the garden and the inside the area. Practitioners respond sensitively to the differing needs of these very young children and place a priority on the development of speaking, listening and social play skills.  Each day children enjoy shared singing and story times.  Planning is organised around shared themes and individual children’s interests.

Woodlands Centre for Autism

Woodlands is a specialised resource base for children who have been statemented with Autism. The children who attend Woodlands are of Nursery and Primary ages (3-11years old). There are three classrooms; each with a class teacher and teaching assistants who have been trained in teaching children with Autism. The children have an array of needs and are on different levels of the spectrum. Woodlands strives to aid every child’s progress in academic and in social skills. At Woodlands we believe that each child deserves to have a plan put into place that has been tailored to their individual needs. We work with Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists who are part of each child’s developmental plans.

Robson House

Robson House is the base of the Primary Learning Support Service (PLSS). PLSS is made up of the Primary Pupil Referral Unit (PPRU), the Behaviour Outreach Team and the Camden Language and Communication Service (CLCS).

Robson House PPRU is a specialist therapeutic and educational placement for children who cannot attend mainstream school because of social, emotional and mental health needs, or who have been permanently excluded from school.

Camden Language and Communication Service

Camden Language and Communication Service (CLCS) is a team of Speech and Language Therapists and Specialist Teachers who visit primary schools in the area. CLCS work collaboratively with schools in order to develop the knowledge and skills of school staff. This will enable them to work more effectively with children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). CLCS may also work directly with a small caseload of children with more complex communication needs, their families and those who work with them.

Adult Learning Centre

All courses are for adults aged 19+ and give priority to Camden residents. We offer a range of courses in computing, English, work and volunteering and family learning. Some classes are for particular groups, for example,  parents and carers. Some classes have a free crèche – subject to demand.

Our classes are informal. You will learn at your own pace, supported by tutors experienced in teaching adult learners. When you start the course, your tutor will discuss with you what you want to get out of the class and will work with you to make sure that your programme meets your needs.
